Get to know the new RCI Bank App
At RCI Bank, our vision is to provide our customers with transparent, simple accounts whilst offering great customer service through our award-winning savings accounts. Over the years, you have let us know how important having an App would be to you. You have asked and we have listened. RCI Bank has launched a new App! This year, we have learnt that convenience is key, so we wanted to give our customers greater access to their money and our new App does exactly that.

We know you might not have time to read through lengthy FAQs, so we’ve rounded up the top five most important things for you to know.

  1. What does the App do?

The App is designed to give existing customers access to their RCI Bank savings account on the go, allowing you to withdraw money to and from your linked account quickly. Picture this: you’re sat on the sofa and you remember you have an upcoming payment due. Just one problem…your laptop is upstairs! Fear not! You can check your balance and transfer the money in just 3 swipes on our new App, all whilst staying snug and cosy on the sofa.

  1. Where do I find the App?

The RCI Bank App is free and available on the Google Play Store for Android devices and the App Store for iOS devices. Please check your settings and ensure you have updated to Android version 7 or iOS 11 or above before you download.

  1. How do I register for the App?

This App is designed for existing customers so if you are considering opening an account with us you will need to do that online here (subject to account opening terms). Once the App is downloaded, you will need to enter your online banking username, password and the characters from your memorable security question. Once you have registered, you can enable touch ID or facial recognition, making it even quicker for you to access your accounts!

  1. What are the App’s security features keeping my money safe?

During the registration process, you will be asked to create and confirm a six-digit pin to access your account details. Top tip: we know dates are memorable, however, avoid using your birthday to ensure maximum security. Secondly, having the biometric log-ins enabled, such as Touch ID or facial recognition, will ensure an added layer of security.

  1. Can I speak to someone via the App?

You can visit the FAQ & Help section within the App to see your options or contact us directly via secure message through your online account. You can also call us on 0345 6056 050. We’re open Monday-Thursday 8am-8pm, Friday 8am-6:30pm, Saturday 9am-5pm and Sunday 10am-4pm. Please note, we are constantly looking for ways to improve our app so in-app messaging may feature in later versions of the App.
